The time for all ages on March 20 was a re-telling of the story A Lamp In Every Corner.
This story is from the book by the same name by Janeen K. Grohsmeyer.
You can read the full story here.
And get the full book here.
Following the story, children went to children’s chapel in Fellowship Hall and continued to explore how we as Unitarian Universalists can carry our “lamps”- with the light of truth in the mind, and the flame of love in the heart- to every corner of our lives.
To bring some visualization of the idea, children colored in some more modern lamp pictures and wrote or drew things that reflected our UU values.
As the UUCSH stewardship campaign continues, I invite you to look at these lamps and consider how your financial pledge can help make more UU lamps in the world and extend the light of Unitarian Universalism far beyond the building’s walls.
