Jennifer Kitchen, President
Jen has served UUCSH in a number of elected and other roles since she and her husband Scott joined in 1997 as Charter Members. She has served on the Board of Trustees twice before her current role, as well as the Nominating, Search, and Interim Search Committees. Jen enjoys working with children and has been part of the Pre-K/K teaching team in the Religious Education program for the past two years. She also helped start the monthly First Friday Game Night.
Jen used to work at a local Montessori school with children of all ages. In her spare time, she is passionate about improvisational comedy, and has studied and performed locally and in New York City.
Jackie White, Vice President
Jackie joined UUCSH in 2011 and has served in elected leadership as a member of the Nominating Committee. She has taught RE classes, served on the RE Vision Team, and is currently a FLASH advisor. She is a member of the choir and has been the chair of the Service Auction for several years. Jackie holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked at various pharmaceutical companies and is currently a Director in the Investigational Material Supply Chain group at Celgene. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys gardening, quilting and cooking.
Peter Hansch, Treasurer
Peter joined UUCSH in 2000 and has served in elected leadership as a member of the Board of Trustees, the Nominating Committee, and Treasurer since 2013. He has also been a Worship Associate, RE teacher, Podcasting specialist, and Coffee Captain. Peter holds a PhD in atomic physics and an MBA from The Ohio State University. He has worked as a management consultant and is currently the President and CEO of a computer graphics and consulting company. In his spare time, Peter is a competitive boomerang thrower and has twice been the captain of the German national team at two World Boomerang Championships.
Valerie Pierce, Secretary
Valerie, joined UUCSH in 2010. She previously served on the Board of Trustees and on the Nominating committee. She has also served as a Chalice Lighter for our ADA project, taught several different age groups in the RE program for the past 4 years, and served on the RE Vision team. Valerie teaches Biology and Forensics Science at Rutgers Preparatory School where she has worked for the past 13 years. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and wine and beer tasting.
COMMITTEE ON SHARED MINISTRY
Since joining UUCSH in 2005, Wynn has served in a number of elected and other roles, including Treasurer, Stewardship Chair, Finance Committee, and Green Sanctuary Committee. He holds a MBA from the University of Wisconsin, and works as a Product Management Director in the IT/Telecom industry. To satisfy his love of music, Wynn sings in UUCSH’s choir and likes to play guitar in his spare time. He’s also a history nut, and enjoys lots of outdoor sports, including hiking, running, and cycling.
