First launched in 1990, the Welcoming Congregation program grew out of an understanding that widespread prejudices and ignorance about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people existed within our religious movement. To become a Welcoming Congregation, we took and continue to take intentional steps to become more welcoming and inclusive of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Please read our statement on marriage equality.
We hope you will feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. You are encouraged to ask questions, offer feedback, and participate in any or all of our activities and programs.
