On June 14, 2014, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Somerset Hills had a ceremonial “groundbreaking” for what’s called the ACCESS project–the renovation project that will add an elevator, ramps, and handicapped-accessible restrooms to UUCSH.
Some additional steps needed to be finalized with the Borough of Somerville over the summer.  We are delighted to report that, after some minor negotiations, we have signed contracts with the builder to begin work on the project.  UUCSH Board President Nadine Kadell Sapirman signed the contract at the Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, followed by celebratory cheering by the Board.
Permits have already been applied for with the Borough of Somerville.  Once the permits are approved, construction will begin.
