It took a lot of time and energy to remove the brick stairs from the side of the UUCSH

building.  It still looks like a doorway from the outside.  On the inside, the wall has been sheetrocked and painted.  Looking at the photo, the door was on the right side; the left side will be where the office photocopier will be housed.

Painting in the areas behind the sanctuary is now complete, and the areas are looking good!

Another big project for last week was putting the wall finish in the restrooms.  Both restrooms have a wall finished known as FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic).  This material is extremely durable and low maintenance.

Coffee Hour! At UUCSH, 1March2015

One of the biggest joys from the past week was being able to safely hold Coffee Hour, after months of a hiatus due to the renovation work.  UUCSHers enjoyed their coffee and tea, while mingling with one another in the newly-shaped–though not fully lighted–Fellowship Hall.

Construction on the Accessibility project is nearing completion. Within a few weeks, we hope to have a certificate of occupancy and be able to “move in” to our new space.  The elevator installation may take a little longer.
Since the new section of the building is still under construction, we kindly ask that you resist the temptation to explore the new space, as a matter of safety.  Remember–until otherwise notified, entry to UUCSH is only through the front doors!
