Worship: Make it Work – Fashioning Hope

Author Avianca Bouchedid, Written Aug 2, 2016

Please join us this Sunday, August 7th at 10:00 a.m., for a service led by Rev. Jennifer Kelleher.

The phrase “Make it Work” became popular from the reality TVshow Project Runway, a clothing fashion design contest, going into its 15th season this September. The show co-host and design mentor Tim Gunn coined the phrase “make it work” while teaching at Parsons School of Design to encourage students to not give up when they encountered difficulty. How is it we fashion hope in challenging times when things seem impossible? How does creative expression bring forth hope? Join us this Sunday as we explore such questions.

You are invited to wear one of your favorite outfits to serviceWhether couture or cargo shorts, Prada or pajamas, jeans or black tie/little black dress, gendered or neutral, costume or casual: come in clothing that expresses who you are!
