Please join us this Sunday, 9/3/17 at 10:00 a.m., for a worship service led by Christa Tinari.

Christa Tinari is a nationally recognized speaker, author, peacebuilder, and educator.  Over the past 20 years, Christa has taught the skills of peacemaking, including conflict transformation, nonviolent action, dialogue, empathy, mediation, mindfulness, and reconciliation, to thousands of children and adults from all walks of life.  Her involvement in peace and justice work has included giant political puppet theatre, direct action and organizing, and serving on the governing boards of the Coalition for Peace Action-Princeton, The Lambertville Coalition for Peace, and the Fellowship of Reconciliation.  She is currently active in the Showing up for Racial Justice Delaware Valley Immigration Action Network and Musicians without Borders.

Christa is creator of The Feel & Deal Activity Deck, an emotional intelligence tool for elementary aged students.  She is also co-author of the newly released book, “Create a Culture of Kindness in Middle School: 48 Character-Building Lessons to Foster Respect and Prevent Bullying.”  Christa has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies and a Master’s degree in International Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. Through her consulting practice, PeacePraxis, she works with schools and youth-serving organizations to create cultures of kindness and respect.

Christa was the DRE at the UUCSH from 2001-2002. She is very glad to be returning on Sunday, September 3rd!
