It is a matter of days (presumably, hopefully) until my wife Melanie and I welcome our second child, a boy, into our family!
I am grateful to many members of UUCSH who are making it possible for me to take some time to care for our soon to be newborn- along with our 2 year old Ryan and my wife- via paternity leave.
Melanie’s due date is still July 13. My last day in the office will be Thursday July 9, beginning leave on Friday July 10. I will be back in the office Monday August 10 and Tuesday August 11, then attending a professional development “renaissance module“- Philosophy of Religious Education– in Ocean Grove NJ Wednesday August 12 through Friday August 14, and leading Children’s Chapel on Sunday August 16.
Rob Edgar will be the primary point of contact for religious education and adult faith development-related questions. He in turn, has a list of area religious educators who are “on call” in the event a question is beyond solving “in house”.
A number of other volunteers will be taking turns leading children’s chapels and acting as Sunday supervisors. Please help them out in any way you can! You can find more details on Summer Children’s Chapels here.
Renewing one’s commitment as a religious education volunteer and updating family registration for the 2015-16 congregational year is ongoing- please fill out the online forms or pick up a paper copy at 123 East Cliff Street on the table outside the Director of Lifespan Faith Development office.
