Recycling at UUCSH

Author Avianca Bouchedid, Written Aug 29, 2013

Thanks to the many of you who have been respecting the 7th Unitarian Universalist principle and recycling.  It warms my heart to see the bins full with materials that will be saved from the landfill.

For those of you who may not know, in addition to the items collected by Somerset County (paper, cardboard, chipboard, glass, & metal), we collect #5 hard plastic caps and #4 soft plastic.  The bins are all neatly lined up in the Fellowship Hall near the rear stairs.  Please be sure not to include “crinkly” plastic in the #4 bin…and please keep it dry.  These items get recycled into plastic packaging and products such as park benches.

I’m looking for a couple of helpers to work on the recycling efforts; let me know if you are interested.  Questions about recycling at UUCSH?  Ask Nadine!
