Sunday June 7, 2015 will be Religious Education Sunday for the 2014-15 congregational year. Children, youth, adults, members, friends, and volunteers are invited to come to this multi-generational worship service to celebrate what the Religious Education Classes have done this year. Children and youth will share some of what they have explored and the many volunteers who make it all happen will be recognized and thanked.
It has been quite a year for the congregation in general and religious education in particular, considering how the ACCESS renovation project has impacted the classroom spaces in Fellowship Hall. Nevertheless the children, youth, and adults have persevered through it all. And with the newly expanded fellowship hall and fixed wall classrooms, we look to the 2015-16 year with anticipation in how to use our space to do religious education in new and creative ways! While RE Sunday is a full service, I will say a teeny tiny little bit about what I learned of the workshop rotation model while I was on sabbatical, and how it might be experimented with in the latter part of next congregational year.
See you at the celebration!
