During recent congregational update meetings, it was mentioned that I am preparing for a sabbatical, mid-January thru mid-April-ish.
I am happy to report a Sabbatical Task Force is in place: Paul Rosenbaum, Jim Phillips, and Bill Kleppinger. All three have participated in many areas of congregational life, including Religious Education for Children and Youth and Adult Faith Development.
A series of blog posts will follow to share details of the sabbatical including…
-more info on what the Sabbatical Task Force is doing
-how does a sabbatical benefit the religious professional and the congregation
-how will RE and AFD keep going during the sabbatical- and all the ways great and small many helping hands will make it happen
-what kinds of learnings I will pursue during sabbatical in the areas of congregational innovation, professional growth, and personal renewal
I am in the process of fine tuning the specific details of the sabbatical with the task force, the Board executive team, and the full Board of Trustees.
Be on the lookout for more blog posts by me and guest posts by the Sabbatical Task Force!
