I hope that you had a wonderful summer were able to rest, take a vacation, and perhaps
attend some of our wonderful summer services. A special thank you to the Worship Associates and Rev. Marcia Marino for creating these unique services.
As we look towards the new church year, you will see activities involving our search for a new minister, such as the congregational survey that was recently sent out to members and friends. Please take a moment to fill out the survey to let our hard working search team know what you are looking for in our next settled minister. There will be a service later this fall by a team from the UUA to help us imagine what our new minister might be like.

This year you will also hear more about the handicap accessibility work that we are planning for next summer.

We are working now with an architect to create the plans to add an elevator and an accessible bathroom to 123 E. Cliff so that our vision of building access for all becomes a reality. Watch your e-mail for more information on when you can review the detailed design.

This year you will also see activities dealing with congregational growth. Our congregation has joined a UUA regional growth project designed specifically for congregations with under 150 members. We have learned that growth is more than increasing numbers it is also about increasing growth in our programming and in our faith development. Our new children’s choir is one example of growth in our music program. As we enter our third year at 123 E. Cliff and prepare for a time with a new settled minister, it is time to really explore how we can use this new facility to grow our faith for ourselves and others.

If you have not visited us for awhile this might be the time to check us out. I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming activity.
