Dear Members and Friends of UUCSH,

What a wonderful first year of shared ministry!  I am grateful for all we have experienced together and for our shared accomplishments of growth, learning and relationship building. Over the past year we have created vibrancy within our congregation. That energy and enthusiasm can be felt within worship and religious education on Sunday mornings and in our spiritual, educational, justice-making and fellowship activities taking place all week long.

I am incredibly proud of the heart, commitment, and talent present within our congregation’s leadership and staff teams. Our meetings and events are consistently ones in which I leave feeling invigorated and full of hope. And, individually, to the extent we have had the opportunity, I have tried to be present to your individual journeys and struggles. It has been a privilege and pleasure to be a part of your lives in this way. The effort the congregation as a whole places into caring with one another is incredibly heartwarming. I hold sacred each expression of care and each occasion in which we are with one another. I look forward to continuing our commitment to deepening our relationship in the time to come.

In celebration of our shared ministry, each one of our lives, the gifts we share and the beauty we seek to bestow upon the world – I remind you of our Flower Ceremony being held during service this coming Sunday, June 22. The Flower Festival is my favorite Unitarian Universalist ritual and I can’t wait to be a part of it with each of you. Please come to service with a flower to share.
