Chaplain Maureen Erwin will be hosting a three-session discussion group for persons who are interested in exploring and completing their advance care directives for healthcare when they can no longer speak for themselves. Through readings, videos, and writings we will explore our attitudes, emotions, and fears about death and dying. We will also learn about why New Jersey is the second-worst state in which to die in terms of healthcare at the end of life. And lastly, we will discuss strategies of how to have ‘the conversation’ with our loved ones and document our wishes.
Maureen is an ordained UU community minister, board-certified chaplain, and a Respecting Choices Certified ACP Instructor and Facilitator.
