This non-credit community course will provide an introduction to the history of race and racism in the US, address common misconceptions about race, and strategize actions to end systemic racism. This course will be co-facilitated by Mr. Douglass Anderson and Dr. Karen Gaffney. Douglass is an anti-racism activist and a member of the Central Jersey Community Coalition and the Hunterdon County Anti-Racism Coalition. Karen is an English Professor at Raritan Valley Community College, an educator on anti-racism, a blogger at her website https://dividednolonger.com/ and the author of the upcoming book Dismantling the Racism Machine: A Manual and Toolbox.
